Qualifications

Mr. Taylor is experienced in all aspects of Naval Special Warfare from field operations to personnel management, both nationally and internationally along with combat experience and expertise in small unit tactics.  He’s been a member and planner of personal protective details for high ranking U.S. military officers and dignitaries to include protecting a former U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and President Clinton during a visit to the Tuzla Army Base.  He maintains a vast array of operational and training expertise having been 14 years operational and 6 years in training.

NBC Studios - Feb 2005

     Technical Advisor for Crossing Jordan.  The episode “Sanctuary” required a hostage scenario be portrayed.  Mr. Taylor ensured the actors were prepared and that the tactical movements of the actors portraying Boston SWAT Team members were fundamentally sound.

      Unit Production Manger in support of L.A. County Fire, law enforcement and Federal 1st responders. 

Coordinated and managed seven camera and sound crews, a pyrotechnics special effects explosion, simulated debris fallout set design and crime scene paraphernalia placement.  Directed interviews with key Fire, Law enforcement, and emergency medical personnel. Consultant for Strategic Operations Inc., A company that re-creates tactical scenarios in great detail by controlling and manipulating both the physical and sensory environment, providing hyper-realistic training.

      Role play Specialist in support Anti-Terrorism training of 1000+ troops.

      Consulted for the Strategic Operations Company of San Diego during training conducted for the Marines of the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion on       military operations in urban terrain in support of  Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWC), Coronado, Ca.   1999-2003

Senior Chief Master Training Specialist:

      Coached more than 1000 SEAL candidates in SEAL operations, techniques, leadership, teamwork, small unit operations and physical fitness. 

      Senior person responsible for up to 1200 high risk training evolutions annually. 

     NSWC  Physical Conditioning Program Manager, monitoring and managing the command running, obstacle course, swimming and calisthenics programs. 

       Administratively responsible for maintaining instructor training records, total quality indicator reports and command physical readiness records.

Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), Dam Neck, Va.  1994-1999

      Assaulter 2 ½ years:  Abilities required, free-fall jumping, combat divining, close quarter’s combat, urban warfare, marksmanship, small boat work.  Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).  To include protection, detection, and decontamination procedures.  Familiar with and qualified to respond to situations associated with Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) agents.

      Operations Chief 1 year:  Responsible for the logistical, planning and coordination of training schedules and overseas trips.  Managed over 5 million dollars for operations training, travel, berthing and associated equipment.

       Team Crew Leader 1 ½ years:  Responsibilities required, providing training and participation in free fall jumping, combat diving, close quarter’s combat, urban warfare, marksmanship, small boat work. Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).  To include protection, detection, and decontamination procedures.  Familiar with and qualified to respond to situations associated with Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) agents. Providing leadership and management skills to as many as 35 SEALS on a given day.

Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWC), Coronado, Ca.   1991-1994

      1st phase instructor:  Master Training Specialist, taught more than 1000 SEAL candidates in SEAL operations, techniques, leadership, teamwork, small unit operations and physical fitness

            Selected as the 1993 NSWC Sailor of the Year.
